The Graff Way
Every Graff diamond is evaluated and assessed according to the categories of quality prescribed by the GIA: Cut, Carat, Colour and Clarity. Graff selects only the very best stones in order to create magnificent jewels; however, we believe that a diamond’s personality cannot be surmised from a certificate alone – we listen to its story, quietly contemplate its hidden depths and celebrate its individuality.
“We take great pride in knowing that our diamond engagement rings will be passed down the generations, building their own stories along the way.”
A diamond’s cut is extremely important to its overall beauty, as the precision and proportions of its facets determine how it refracts and reflects light. Our experienced master craftsmen are some of the world’s very best diamond cutters and polishers, who apply their skills to create perfectly balanced and symmetrical mirror-like facets in order to create resplendent scintillation.
Carat is the unit of measurement used to describe a diamond’s weight and is equal to 0.2 grams. Graff is renowned for cutting and polishing diamonds of all sizes, from perfectly proportioned stones of less than one carat, to extraordinary stones weighing over 100 carats – each one is a true masterpiece.
The most highly regarded white diamonds are completely, or close to completely, colourless. Colourless diamonds are graded from D at the top of the scale through to Z, with the majority of Graff diamonds ranging from D to G.
Clarity measures the number, size, position and colour of nature’s markings or ‘inclusions’ on a scale that ranges from Imperfect to Flawless. Many Graff diamonds are Flawless or display minute inclusions that are invisible to the naked eye.
