It was a momentous day when two incredible rough diamonds weighing 196 carats and 184 carats were discovered at the famous Letseng Mine in Lesotho. Both displayed the highest colour, clarity and the very rare ‘type IIa’ classification.
Graff acquired both rough diamonds and after many weeks of intense scrutiny the Graff gemmologists became excited – a world first was within their midst.
